to my wonderful parents....

I would like to dedicate today's post to my parents....I did not take the above picture; but it fits perfectly with today's entry. Today is my parents' 31st wedding anniversary. I am so blessed to have them in my life....without them; I wouldn't be where I am today. I can't say it enough, but I am so thankful for everything they've done for me! I pray that someday I will have a marriage like theirs....a marriage built with God as my focus, a marriage built on trust, and unconditional love. Thank you Mom and Dad for everything. I love you both so much!!

G'night everyone!

until next time....

another day on the job....

I hope you all enjoyed your Tuesday....I know I did; for the most part.

Went into work....and had probably one of the most entertaining/disturbing phone calls ever! This guy called today and when I answered the phone he asked how I was doing; I replied that I was fine. He then asked me what my questions was (mind you; he's the one that called me!!) well after putting him on hold to take care of customers, going and asking my boss for advice on what to do with him, getting cussed out by him, him telling me what I should be doing with my life, getting told I come up with intellectual responses, and that I am divorced, we finally got rid of the guy....I look back now and laugh, but at the time really had no clue what to do with him! I didn't know if it was ok just to hang up on people....so my boss finally ended up talking to him. I told her (my boss) that I didn't want to answer the phone anymore, I always seem to have bad experiences answering the phone there, lol!

Anyways....came home and watched the kids so my parents could go out and enjoy an anniversary dinner....we made dinner here and then watched a new movie that just came out called Red....it has Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, and some other people whom I can't remember their names....it's a pretty good movie (especially if you like guns but not a lot of gore!)....it's a comedy/action film....I highly recommend it :)

Well now that I've bored you all with my story....on to todays/yesterdays pictures.

Ok so I can't hate on this movie too much because I haven't seen it....but really Blockbuster...."Intensely suspenseful thriller!" it's a hour and a half movie of a guy in a box. About the only plus side to this movie (so I've heard) is that it has Ryan Reynolds in it. But in the long run....I've talked to quite a few of our customers about it; and very few of them have anything good to say about this movie.

One movie you should check out, if you haven't already, is:

I love listening to my siblings quote this movie....it's funny and the whole family will enjoy it! I mean seriously, who doesn't want a little yellow minion running around their house ;)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Below is a picture I took walking up from the dog kennels....as you can see we still have a lot of snow....but alas it has started to melt. I love the way the sun is shining down on it....and what this picture does not capture is the way the snow sparkles when the sun hits it....is beautiful!

Enjoy :)

until next time....

it looks like there's a balance of....

I work at a magical place called....

Ok so it's not really magical....but it's a job, and I love it....most of the time.

Sometimes I don't understand our customers....

I had one person call today and wanted to apply for a job, but couldn't spell Blockbuster. We're always getting people coming in and asking why every time they come in there's a late fee on their account (because we purposely don't check in certain peoples' movies so they'll have a late fee....like we have time for such games....silly people) I'm just going to guess that they didn't return their movies on time....buuuut no in this case the customer is always right....you know what else is fun? When you're checking someone out and you open their LOCKED movie case to find the DVD inside has been stolen....or when people bring their kids in and let them just tear our store apart; that's fun too....

But like I said I do enjoy my job; we do have some very pleasant customers that come in....and I love the people I work with; there's never a dull moment around that place! It seems like there's always a project to be done or something to clean....

Well I'm done rambling on about my job now :) Hope you have all enjoyed your Sunday!

until next time....

Snow...snow....and more snow....

This pic is for yesterday; as I once again did not get the chance to blog....will post more tonight....but above is the forecast for this week....I'm crossing my fingers it stays like that (especially with Thursday and Friday!) I'm not even sure how many inches of snow we've gotten so far, but I know it's a lot!

Enjoy your Sunday!

until next time....

It's been awhile....

Ok....so it's been a little while since I've posted some pics....so this post should make up for missing this week....not a lot has really gone on which is why there's been a lack of pictures....but here goes.

I love cooking....and I love making plates look nice....yes, even kids' plates :)

Here we have Josh holding Nate's dog like a baby....

Here we have Judon riding our polar bear AKA Corrin....

Here we have Nate showing off his muscles by picking up his dog... :)

and this is what is needed every morning and evening to feed all of our baby goats in our garage....those things eat a ton!

In other news....a new baby goat was born this morning....and we once again have a ton of snow. I'm kinda tired of snow....it makes it very difficult to drive....but students love it because they've now had 5 snow days this month!!

Hope you're all enjoying your week!

until next time....

And the winner is...

As most of you know last night was the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards show, and I decided to do a tribute post to them.

I don't watch them, but it's always fun to read about who won :) The information came from imdb.com and the pics just came from various websites. Enjoy!

Happy MLK Jr. DAY!

So home schoolers never really get a day off....there's always a field trip to go on or activity sheets to do. Today in honor of MLK day the kids got to sit and sip hot chocolate while learning about Martin Luther King Jr; then they made flip books and filled out their sheets. Look how excited they are :)

They also got to go out an play in the snow; it's gotten much warmer here so it is starting to melt....so who couldn't pass up the opportunity to throw a snowball or make a snowman!

Here is a snow chair Joshua made

A snowman made by Nathanael

and a snowman made by Judson

Enjoy your day and stay safe!

until next time....

E.T. phone home....

I hope that everyone has enjoyed their Sunday; I sure have! Went to church. took the kids home and we made lunch. I then took some of the kids out shopping; some needed shoes....some needed jeans....some needed both....'twas exciting.

There's a nip in the air....it's supposed to snow again, and we're supposed to get some ice....booooo :(

So today's picture if brought to you by BLOCKBUSTER :)

This is the Yoda we are currently selling for like a billion bucks....BUT when you put his hood on he kinda look like E.T. so we gave him some Reeses Pieces to hold!

until next time....

Sick of being sick....

I've not been sick for a good 12-13 weeks now....everyone I work with thinks I just live sick because I've sounded terrible ever since I've worked there; lol! Well now the rest of the family is sick as well....we thought it had gone away but the other day the kids woke up even worse :( My mom took them all to the doctor; most of them were able to just get antibiotics but Gideon has to do breathing treatments twice a day. He did them yesterday but for some reason we couldn't figure out why the mist wasn't spraying out or the medicine wasn't going away. Played with it today and realized that we were just not putting in a piece; so needless to say we finally got it working.

Here is my poor baby doing his breathing treatment....he's not very happy about them, lol!

I'm off for a day of work and finally going to the eye doctor; hope you all enjoy your day!

Until next time....

a day out on the town....

Today has been an absolutely wonderful day! Took the kids out today and we ran some errands....went to a couple banks, the library, the grocery story, and then to pick my sister up from school....where we also got to watch them finish up their play practice. It looks like it's coming along pretty well and the kids are doing a great job. We then came home and made dinner....and now we're sitting watching movies. Finally watched Prince of Persia, wish I had watched it earlier, such a great movie!!

So I have more than one pic today....

This is the beautiful view we saw driving down the road....love the sky!

I made dinner for me and my mother tonight....stuffed tomatoes, green beans, and a salad with a light vinaigrette. 'Twas wonderful I'll have to file that recipe.

and....here's me and my wonderful socks....I know it's laundry time when I'm stuck wearing my kitty cat toe socks, lol!

I hope you all enjoyed your day as much as I did!

until next time....

kids....kids....everywhere....

Well apparently our momma goats decided the winter would be the best time to have their kids....and we're keeping them in our garage so the moms can be milked. My dad has been making wonderful cheese with all the milk we're getting; it's so yummy :)

Here is a pic of some of the kids. We had one born recently but (s)he wouldn't cooperate for a picture.

Here is yesterdays pic....my phone was acting up and wouldn't let me send the pic to my email.

Yes, you can now rent your friend. They run anywhere from $10-$150 a HOUR.....because goodness knows it's too much work to go out and make real friends....So what are the reasons they're giving for needing to rent a friend? Well let's say you move to a city and don't know anyone but you want to go out to lunch; here's an idea....pay someone to go to lunch with you! Or you want to go see a new movie but nobody is free to go with you; pay someone to go with you! What is this world coming to....kind of creepy if you ask me....Well that's all for today!

Until next time...

Another wonderful day....

We still have a ton of snow....and I don't see it going away anytime soon. In fact there is so much that tomorrow is going to be yet another snow day for most schools around this area!

Today the kids went out to make snowmen, but I think we deemed that mission unsuccessful. They all got too cold and then got bored and started throwing snowballs at each other.

After dinner we made cupcakes....not sure why they're so patriotic; it was the only colored frosting we had in the pantry, lol! Josh made the frosting and Judson helped me decorate.

Hope you all enjoyed your day doing whatever you do!

Until next time....
