And there you have it ladies and gentlemen, the 2012 Golden Globe Awards :)

Til next time....

Goodbye 2011! Hello 2012!

I've heard it said "We will make time for the things most important to us" what will you be making time for this year?

2011 is gone.

2012 is here.

-What will I do to make a difference?

-What do I want to accomplish this year?

-What goals will I set for myself?

-What do I want to change?

These are questions people will start asking themselves as the New Year begins, and it is now that people will start reflecting back on the past year.

2011 has been a pretty good year, I am thankful for the lessons I've learned, for the people I've met, for my family and friends that have (and always will) be there for me, I am thankful for the all the blessings God has given me, I am thankful for the challenges He has given me because without them I'd be unable to grow.

As I look back on 2011 I see where I messed up, I see where I didn't make the right choice, I see goals I didn't meet, and I see lists I didn't complete. But I also see where I did the right thing, I see where I might not have completed all my goals but I still completed some. I see where I might not have finished every single list, but I still completed some. We're not going to hit every goals, we're not going to complete every single task, we're not always going to make the right decision or never mess up, because if we did then how would we grow or learn.

I think that we all (myself included) need to realize that there will always be a struggle, there will always be a challenge, there will always be a temptation, and there will always be a choice. It's what we do with these things that are going to make up our year. As you reflect back on your year, instead of thinking about all the things you didn't get done or whatever, think about the positives. Because in the end, there isn't a lot you can do about what happened in the past.

As I think about 2012 I start making lists in my head of things I want to do, of books I want to read, places I want to go, and goals I want to achieve. We will see how it all goes :) As I come up with them I'll post some of my lists!

Remember, first and formost God needs to be the center of your life. Without Him, we are nothing.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year!

Until next time...

Quotes.

Here are some quotes that I have found over the past couples of weeks that I've really enjoyed, so I thought I'd share them.
Enjoy!

We're not indestructible
Our lives, unpredictable
It can turn on a dime so now is the time
Don't wait, don't wait, don't wait
Gotta live today, don't wait
Gotta live today, don't wait
Today, don't wait
-Don't Wait (Addison Road)

God I messed it up again, I seem to do this all the time
Can you forgive me one again, or have I finally crossed the line?
They say Your grace is always with me and You're near me all the time
If that's the case I pray sincerely that Your love is truly blind

I'm never always right and it's plain to see
You love me Jesus, It's a mystery
You know my faults, You know my wrongs
And You still love me

-Your Love is a Mystery (Hawk Nelson)

God's "NO" is not a rejection,
It is a redirection.

Never let success get to your head.
Never let failure get to your heart.

life is too short.
grudges are a waste of perfect happiness.
laugh when you can.
apologize when you should.
let go of what you can't change.
love deeply and forgive quickly.
take chances. give everything.
have no regrets.
life is too short to be unhappy.
you have to take the good with the bad.
smile when you're sad.
love what you got.
always remember what you had.
always forgive but never forget.
learn from your mistakes but never regret.
people change and things go wrong,
but always remember
life goes on.

Our God is greater.
Our God is stronger.

'Cause what if Your blessings come through raindrops
What if Your healing comes through tears
What if a thousand sleepless nights
Are what it takes to know You’re near
And what if trials of this life are Your mercies in disguise

to my wonderful parents....

I would like to dedicate today's post to my parents....I did not take the above picture; but it fits perfectly with today's entry. Today is my parents' 31st wedding anniversary. I am so blessed to have them in my life....without them; I wouldn't be where I am today. I can't say it enough, but I am so thankful for everything they've done for me! I pray that someday I will have a marriage like theirs....a marriage built with God as my focus, a marriage built on trust, and unconditional love. Thank you Mom and Dad for everything. I love you both so much!!

G'night everyone!

until next time....

another day on the job....

I hope you all enjoyed your Tuesday....I know I did; for the most part.

Went into work....and had probably one of the most entertaining/disturbing phone calls ever! This guy called today and when I answered the phone he asked how I was doing; I replied that I was fine. He then asked me what my questions was (mind you; he's the one that called me!!) well after putting him on hold to take care of customers, going and asking my boss for advice on what to do with him, getting cussed out by him, him telling me what I should be doing with my life, getting told I come up with intellectual responses, and that I am divorced, we finally got rid of the guy....I look back now and laugh, but at the time really had no clue what to do with him! I didn't know if it was ok just to hang up on people....so my boss finally ended up talking to him. I told her (my boss) that I didn't want to answer the phone anymore, I always seem to have bad experiences answering the phone there, lol!

Anyways....came home and watched the kids so my parents could go out and enjoy an anniversary dinner....we made dinner here and then watched a new movie that just came out called Red....it has Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, and some other people whom I can't remember their names....it's a pretty good movie (especially if you like guns but not a lot of gore!)....it's a comedy/action film....I highly recommend it :)

Well now that I've bored you all with my story....on to todays/yesterdays pictures.

Ok so I can't hate on this movie too much because I haven't seen it....but really Blockbuster...."Intensely suspenseful thriller!" it's a hour and a half movie of a guy in a box. About the only plus side to this movie (so I've heard) is that it has Ryan Reynolds in it. But in the long run....I've talked to quite a few of our customers about it; and very few of them have anything good to say about this movie.

One movie you should check out, if you haven't already, is:

I love listening to my siblings quote this movie....it's funny and the whole family will enjoy it! I mean seriously, who doesn't want a little yellow minion running around their house ;)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Below is a picture I took walking up from the dog kennels....as you can see we still have a lot of snow....but alas it has started to melt. I love the way the sun is shining down on it....and what this picture does not capture is the way the snow sparkles when the sun hits it....is beautiful!

Enjoy :)

until next time....

it looks like there's a balance of....

I work at a magical place called....

Ok so it's not really magical....but it's a job, and I love it....most of the time.

Sometimes I don't understand our customers....

I had one person call today and wanted to apply for a job, but couldn't spell Blockbuster. We're always getting people coming in and asking why every time they come in there's a late fee on their account (because we purposely don't check in certain peoples' movies so they'll have a late fee....like we have time for such games....silly people) I'm just going to guess that they didn't return their movies on time....buuuut no in this case the customer is always right....you know what else is fun? When you're checking someone out and you open their LOCKED movie case to find the DVD inside has been stolen....or when people bring their kids in and let them just tear our store apart; that's fun too....

But like I said I do enjoy my job; we do have some very pleasant customers that come in....and I love the people I work with; there's never a dull moment around that place! It seems like there's always a project to be done or something to clean....

Well I'm done rambling on about my job now :) Hope you have all enjoyed your Sunday!

until next time....

Snow...snow....and more snow....

This pic is for yesterday; as I once again did not get the chance to blog....will post more tonight....but above is the forecast for this week....I'm crossing my fingers it stays like that (especially with Thursday and Friday!) I'm not even sure how many inches of snow we've gotten so far, but I know it's a lot!

Enjoy your Sunday!

until next time....
